The Black Keys finish there new album…

With another assist from Danger Mouse (aka Brian Burton) on production; he helped the Ohio tag-team with last years album “Brothers”, The Black Keys have finished up there yet to be named album. Dan Auerbach (lead singer) told Spin magazine in an interview some of his thoughts on working with Danger Mouse:

“He understands all the different kinds of music we’re into,” Auerbach told Spin. “He’s got really great ideas about melody and song structure. For him it’s all about the song.”

He continued on to say they were influenced on this album by old school rock’n’roll, rockabilly, The Cramps, garage rock, and The Clash:

“The new album doesn’t sound like Brothers, it doesn’t have that open soul feel to it. It’s way more driving and the tempos are really fast.”

Needless to say that I am beyond excited about the new record and almost can’t wait to get my hands on it. head here for the full interview with Spin: http://www.spin.com/articles/studio-black-keys
